The Sluice Box Bar at Clearwater Mountain Lodge

CELEBRATING 40 YEARS

Serving the Denali Highway since 1982

Being right in line with Alaska ingenuity, using resources that you have in the wilderness, this bar popped up and began operating July 4, 1982. It was an old trailer that was refurbished and constructed into a bar. So, where exactly is it on the property? It sits just behind our gas station to the right as you drive onto the property.

Enjoy a quick bite to eat – burgers, brats, all beef franks, & chicken sandwiches. Or some fries and a soda! Oh – did we forget to mention ice cream or frozen novelties, we have that too! We have drip coffee, tea, cocoa and CoCo’s Irish Coffee! Plenty of snack foods, chips, candy, etc.

During hunting season we keep some hot sandwiches on hand as well. Make a “dinner” reservation a day in advance to enjoy a meal in the main lodge dining room. This is especially popular on ribeye night – leave your camp fire behind and let us pamper you!

We offer a full line of adult beverages – liquor, beer (Alaskan, domestic and import), cider, wine and bottled wine.

The Sluice Box is closed during the winter months and reopens Memorial Day
