Main Lodge
Our lodge is historical, began in 1957 as the Denali Highway was opened to create a scenic drive to Denali National Park.
Our large complex is history in the making. You will find former housing quarters that gold miners slept in, an office building from the former Valdez Creek Gold Mine, several Quonset huts (our gas station is made from 2 of these) to name a few.
The lodge consists of a beautiful arctic entry with sliding french doors (perfect for winter entry by snowmachine groups, back country snowboarders & skiers, dog mushing tours, fat tire bicyclists, etc), a renovated dining room, renovated main gathering area, newly appointed 8 bedrooms with 1 full/1 single bed per room. Guests share 2 bath/shower rooms in the main lodge. The lounge area has comfy chairs, couches, a fire view stove, and a game table. Or your large groups can use the dining room tables to play Catan, Ticket to Ride, Sorry, and other board games.
Our lodge has perfect spaces for large group meetings – use the renovated former restaurant for private meetings, our hangar or even campground. Our main lodge is a favorite with winter snowmachine riders, summertime motorcyclists, and bicyclists. The backcountry trails/roads are great riding. Mining and exploration crews base out of our facility as well – you may hear great stories from geologists who are out exploring. Seats up to 45 persons for large groups for dining. Similar lodging facilities in other buildings on our site.
